Hotel Barahi's location at the entrance of Thamel made it super convenient for exploring the city without needing transport. The rooftop pool area offered fine views, perfect for relaxation. My Beautiful Double Room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Each morning, I enjoyed delicious breakfast options, especially by the pool. The breakfast choices were more limited than expected, especially for a place rated 5 stars. I noticed some staff didn't intervene when a group of guests was disruptive in the pool area. Soundproofing in the rooms was lacking. Despite these issues, the hotel's ambiance was cute, and the attentive staff made efforts to accommodate requests. A nice stay but improvements could elevate the experience further.

When we arrived, our Wheelchair Accessible room with comfortable beds, modern furnitures plus the bedroom was ready. Coffee/tea making machines and glassware were an advantage.

The housekeeping staff was attentive and genuinely apologized for occasional delays in service, showing their commitment to customer satisfaction.
The pool's location can feel exposed, being situated between the restaurant and cafe, which could deter those wanting a private swim.

Really good Service and Clean Amenities
The breakfast offered a good buffet with a mix of local and European options, and I loved the freshly baked cookies they provided in the room. Every detail was catered to, including the attentive staff who ensured I had enough drinking water and clean towels throughout my stay. One downside was the noise from the traffic outside during the day, which could be a bit bothersome.

A Kathmandu delight 🏔️
Those cookies they leave in the room? Lekker! And the staff were super friendly, like they actually cared. Plus, the brekkie options were solid, loved the Nepalese eats they had.
Room noise was a bit much during the day with the traffic outside, but at night it was fine.

The quality of breakfast options is surprisingly limited. You'd expect more variety in a place of this caliber. The pool area lacks sun loungers, leading to frustrations as people hog them with towels but don't use them. Housekeeping had its own hiccups too. Some days they just didn't show up until late unless I called, which isn't ideal when you're trying to enjoy your stay.
